How do I book a cake?
You can contact Cakery Bay using the website contact form, by email louisa@cakerybay.co.uk or by phone 07519746083 with the cake occasion, date and serving requirements then you’ll be guided through the booking process.
How much notice do you need to make a cake?
Where possible I ask for a minimum of three months’ notice for wedding cakes and three weeks for other celebration cakes to allow sufficient time for designing, planning, sourcing custom materials and creating your perfect cake. However, dates are often booked up many months in advance, especially for weddings, so it is advisable to book your date as early as you can to avoid disappointment.
How much is a cake?
All cakes are designed, baked and decorated on a bespoke basis and are therefore priced individually depending on size, flavour and level of decoration. Cakery Bay will advise on your options if you have a set budget in mind.
Can I meet with you to discuss my cake requirements?
Face-to-face consultations are offered by appointment for couples to discuss all aspects of their wedding cake. These take place at Cakery Bay with up to six flavours of cake taster samples boxed to take away. The consultation booking fee is £25 which is payable in advance to secure your appointment and deducted from the balance of your cake order should you decide to proceed. Other cakes are usually discussed and confirmed by email and phone.
How do you take payment?
My preferred method of receiving payment is BACS transfer. A booking fee is taken to secure the order with the balance payable upon collection for celebration cakes and 4 weeks before the wedding date for wedding cakes. Please see full terms and conditions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Booking fees are non-refundable and if a cake is cancelled after work on your cake has commenced you may be charged for any additional costs incurred. Please see full terms and conditions.
